Students’ Protests Continue in Tripura | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Teachers’ crisis continues to haunt students about the upcoming exams, incomplete syllabus and lack of practice, especially in subjects like Math, and Science. On Saturday, students of Rajnagar SB School in Poangbari under the Sabroom subdivision held a protest against the massive teachers’ crisis in the school. On being asked the agitating students said, “We already are suffering due to teachers’ shortage and amid such a situation, our teachers are being transferred one after another. ‘Our Chief Minister is Very Positive f | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Amid the ongoing teachers’ and professors’ crisis in Tripura schools, Tripura Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath told the media that Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha is very positive about the Education sector and its needs and already teachers’ professors’ recruitments are underway for that. Reacting to certain queries from the media, Nath informed me, that for the first time in Tripura for B.Ed colleges regular lecturers will be recruited and TPSC has been asked to conduct the exams. Teachers Crisis hit Tripura Govt Schools | AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Teachers’ crisis has hit the Govt schools in Tripura due to the slow recruitment process. Like every day, on Friday also reports of teachers’ crisis came from a school in Teliamura where students are going to school just for roll calls and hardly get any class to attend. Lembuchara Primary School in Teliamura suffers due to a Teachers' crisis. Only 2 teachers are appointed in the whole school. Talking to the school teachers, they said it’s impossible for them to provide proper education to the children due to the number of teachers. Talking to the teachers in Belonia Abhonagar H/S School, one of the teachers said, “I am a teacher here for the last 4 years. Just before 15 days, our Headmaster was transferred. Now English Medium school was added with the 1-5 (Primary) classes. Total 60 students are there in the primary level classes and in upper primary that is from Class-6 to Class-12 there are 270 students who are enrolled. In such a pathetic condition of a school, it was observed that only two Teachers are appointed in Deochara HS School, Panisagar and one of them is not regular and surprising fact, the school is a Higher Secondary school. On being asked, students said, “We only come to the school every and then eat and sleep”.
