AGARTALA, July 22 (TIWN): Increasing wood smuggling resulting the Forests in Tripura has become empty, the Forest Department officials raiding often but increasing wood smuggling are not reducing and during raids often officials getting injured.
Again Charilam Forest Department officials led raid in Bishalgarh area based on secret Sources information and seized a vehicle carrying Wood logs.
The officials had information that a vehicle carrying wood logs are moving to Bishalgarh from Golaghati area and later the vehicle was seized from Bishalgarh Baidhyadighi area.
The seized vehicle was brought at Charilam Forest Department Office. An official said that the driver escaped leaving the vehicle and the seized wood would be around Rs 50, 000.
