Unemployment problems trigger Tension in | AGARTALA, March 18 (TIWN): Amid massive unemployment problems of Tripura, recruitment is going on at snails pace, whereas ANM job aspirants complained that CM Biplab Deb is ignoring them and not giving any appointments to meet them who are demanding recruitment in 791 vacant posts. Over 5000 nursing students are left jobless in Tripura including around 400 Doctors. In 2017 , total 791 ANM posts were under recruitment process but as the Govt in State had changed and BJP cam in power, the BJP Govt immediately (after assuming power) had cancelled the ongoing recruitments including 791 posts for ANM job aspirants and now only 47 posts were announced for fresh recruitment. Tripura High Court Quashed illegal Look | AGARTALA, March 16 (TIWN): In a landmark verdict, Tripura High Court has not only quashed Look out Circular (LoC) against TIWN Editor, but also restricted the State Govt from such illegal acts without Court's permission. High Court also mentioned about the nature of the crime allegation and hypothetical allegations, actions of the State Govt are violation to personal liberty. Addressing media, Advocate Amitabha Roy Barman has thanked Judiciary for upholding the freedom of speech and personal liberty. Bank strike: Services disrupted nationwi | NEW DELHI, March 15 (TIWN): Banking sectors were affected in Tripura on Mondau as bank employees went in strike along with the whole nation. Nine bank unions on Monday started a nationwide two-day strike against the privatisation of public sector banks and retrograde banking reforms. As many as 10 lakh bank employees have participated in the strike. Banks were already closed on March 13 (second Saturday) and March 14 (Sunday), leading to a four-day break till Tuesday in regular banking operations. The strike has been called by the United Forum of Bank Union (UFBU), an umbrella body of nine bank unions for long two days opposing the banking reforms. Key banking operations across the country were impacted today as nine unions called for a two-day nationwide strike against the proposed privatisation of Public Sector Banks and "retrograde banking reforms". As many as 10 lakh bank employees are expected to participate in the strike called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU), an umbrella body of nine bank unions.
