AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): The SSA teachers have demanded regularization as there is no objection or legal obstacle to regularize them after High Court's verdict.
On February 23, in a big relief for the SSA teachers in Tripura who are working for Tripura Education Dept on contractual basis, Tripura High Court has ordered the State Govt to regularize them.
Chief Justice Akil Kureshi has given the verdict in favour of the SSA teachers. Chief Justice has asked the Govt to clear all arrears of the teachers by counting their regular pays from the 5 years completion date of their job joining dates. Indeed, celebrations were observed in Tripura High Court premises by the teachers as this verdict has permanently settled their lives and livelihoods.
Back in 2017, the SSA teachers held a 7 days hunger strike for regularization which created history. On that time, BJP as opposition promised them that they will be regularized.
