AGARTALA, March 15 (TIWN): It is known on February 28, after receiving the news of child marriage in Lakshmibil, the staff of Child Line stopped the minor girl, Ripa Saha’s marriage with Badal Das of same area. After getting cancelled marriage, the minor girl Ripa’s family was continuously receiving threats from the Badal Das’s family. The criminal boy, Badal Das and his brother allegedly forcibly kidnapped the minor girl in car by attacking her family members in filmy manner on Monday from her relative’s house.

It was also alleged that the police did not listen properly and avoided the victim’s family.  The family members later visited at Bishalgarh Women's Police Station and filed a case against the accused, Badal Das.

Based on details, On February 28, after receiving the news of child marriage in East Lakshmibil, the ChildLine members rushed to the spot, halted the marriage, and returned the minor to her parents.     However, the incident caused major tension in the area and the family members later filed a complaint at Bishalgarh Women's Police Station.
