AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): OC of Kalamchaura Police Station, Bishnupad Bhumik received secret information that large quantity of cannabis was stored in Hossain Ali, son of Abdul Choban’s house. Based on this secret information Police of Kalamchaura PS led a raid last night and seized 140 kg dried cannabis from Veluarchar area under Kalamchaura PS.

140 kg dried cannabis recovered from 5 small and big drums on Tuesday night. Even after recovering the cannabis the police could not arrest the house owner. However, a case has been registered against Hossain Ali, the house owner, at Kalamchoura PS under NDPS section on Wednesday.

 Now it remains to be seen whether the police could have successfully arrested the accused or not.
