Ex Health Minister Sudip Barman thanked | AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): Tripura former Health Minister Sudip Barman on Saturday has briefed media about yesterday night's crisis situation in GB hospital and how the situation was brought under control with the help of Ratul Dey, one and only the Biomedical Instrumentation Engineer in Tripura. Talking to TIWN, the former Health Minister who took the lead role to save patients in GB hospital, which falls under his constituency has said, "Around 2 to 3 calls I had received in my phone from GB hospital. Patients, Doctors all were nervous, tensed as GB hospital's COVID-19 Centre's oxygen pressure downed heavily. Patients were suffocating and can't breath. They also called the officials but maximum of them had switched off their mobile phones and other did not pick up. Today's petrol price in Agartala ₹ 82.16 (12th September 2020). The petrol and diesel prices are revised daily, but the rupee has also moved lower against the dollar, which has made petrol prices in Agartala more expensive than before. It is hoped that the government can reduce excise duties, so as to enable rates to become more cheaper in the coming days. Diesel price today in Agartala 76.13 / Litre and the fuel prices are different in various Districts but up or low, the average prices remained same. Unbeatable fuel price rises are increasing the everyday commodity prices affecting states like Tripura. When commodity prices are lifting higher, potato prices also has taken a jump at Rs. 30 to Rs. 40. In a major concerns, the lockdown imposed in several cities, coupled with unfavourable weather and rising fuel prices, has affected vegetable supply, leading to a steep rise in prices.
