AGARTALA, Sep 10 (TIWN): Moral ethics died in few greedy people. Such incident took place in Agartala where a ration shop owner illegally kept rice that has been given by government to distribute among poor people in free of cost.
Reportedly, the ration owner Tamal Deb allegedly kept the rice bags in his house instead of distributing them among the poor people as per the rules. On Thursday, local people caught him red-handed while he was taking the rice bags tk his home. They informed police immediately.
Police and officials of district administration came to spot and seized all the rice. Locals alleged that, during the time of pandemic when people are dying without food, such inhuman act for a certain amount of money is completely intolerable. They sought strict punishment against the ration shop-owner.
