Sacked 10323 Teachers Observed 'Black Da | AGARTALA, Sep 5 (TIWN): 10323 teachers observed "Black Day" on Teachers Day in Agartala, staged a silent protest in chains with banners in hands. The teachers are now jobless for last 6 months since deadline ended as per SC's guidelines for their job-tenures. In observation of the "Black day" the 10323 teachers also observed 'one minute silence'. Addressing media, the 10323 teachers said, "This day is very special for the teachers but this year 10323 teachers have lost their identity and respect as a teacher At the same time, Tripura Govt is also totally silent over the matter, when so many teachers have died in this state. That's why we are observing black day. We demand, Tripura Govt must implement Supreme Court's verdict immediately in our alternative job distributions and also give jobs to the family of dead 10323 teachers". Ex-Health Minister Sudip Barman blasted | AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): Former Health Minister Sudip Roy Barman, who was sacked from Health Ministry after questioning on law and order, in a press meet on Friday at Agartala Press Club has hit the Health Dept of Tripura for massive numbers of deaths in state, specially when patients are dying mercilessly without ‘treatment’, inside ambulance, outside hospital amid COVID-pandemic. Barman raised his tone of surprise asking where is the Health dept moving ahead where ambulance does not know where to go and patients are dying inside ambulance without attendance. He said, except 4 senior Doctors all have denied to do COVID-duty saying they are 60-plus and thus at high risk of being infected. Barman has suggested Health Dept immediately to transfer them by replacing with young, dynamic Doctors. Sudip Barman also advised CM Biplab Deb to monitor the situation personally so that things can be managed in better ways. It has fully hit the health services of the state. Tripura’s most reputed Government Hospital and the dedicated Covid Care Centre if the State, was left without electricity for more than three long hours. The incident happened just after the day CM Biplab Kumar Deb visited the hospital. Security remained under massive threat due to the unexpected power cut and also safety of the patients and staffs under danger. Treatments, Medical Services have also been badly affected due to the power cut. GB hospital is also the COVID-19 main treatment centre of Tripura, specially for serious patients. As per CMIE’s monthly data, Tripura has recorded 27.9% unemployment rate, which is the second highest in whole country after Haryana which is at 33.5%. Tripura is holding highest unemployed youths among all Northeast states. After Haryana and Tripura, it’s Rajasthan which is holding the 3rd position in unemployment rate at 17.5%. National records on unemployment is gruesome. Petrol Price hits Rs. 82.93 in Tripura, | AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): Fuel prices are surging high in Tripura along with the whole nation. On Thursday in various Districts, the petrol prices were recorded over Rs. 82 whereas the Diesel is available at Rs. 76 and above. Consumers in various fuel stations have expressed resentments and frustrations over the constant hikes. In Gomati District the fuel prices have been recorded highest with 82.93 in Petrol and 76.90 rupees in diesel.
