AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): On Wednesday a team of Refugee development committee placed deputation to West Tripura DM with the demand of giving them rehabilitation. They alleged that no money has been given to them after the new govt came to power.

Addressing the media, the Committee's chairperson said, "During the time of 70s thousands of people forced to leave their home for the fear of terrorism. There will be almost 6000 families who had to leave their home in west and Sipahijala district. But no one is giving us rehabilitation. Neither the previous govt nor the current BJP govt. In previous time we used to given an amount of money but now we haven't got any money after the new govt came to the power."

"So today we placed deputation to DM West for giving us permanent residence and a one-time cash of 5 lakhs. If our demand is not fulfilled, we will stage protest in big platform." Said the chairman.
