Before placing deputation, a protest was staged demanding livelihoods as BJP before the election promised the teachers to solve their uncertain future problems. Today the teachers were seen protesting with family members demanding livelihoods. Few came with children, few with old mothers and many teachers came with wives. Biplab Deb said due to people’s frustration against the previous Govt people have unseated them and now another Govt has been formed. Deb said, few are saying that poverty should be one of the criteria in recruitment but it should not be the only criteria on the basis of which the previous Govt did lots of scams and instances are there physics teachers are appointed in biology dept. There should be a pure process of recruitment with transparency. “Who asked not to give jobs to poor people ? It was announced on July 6 but the problems of load-shedding are still now a major problem, experienced in Agartala heavily on yesterday.Due to massive load-shedding people were seen protesting in their local police station. At Santir Bazar same happened recently when locals gheraoed the power house due to unresolved load-shedding problems. TSECL while increasing new enhanced rates and claimed these benefits for the customers : 1) Accurate and proper bill generation, 2) Timely distribution of bill to each consumer, 3) Reduce the bill oriented complaints / grievances of consumers, 4) Increase efficiency in billing and collection, 5) Reduce AT and C losses. Pragati Para Sub Station at the Ramnagar area and another sub-station in IGM Chowmuhani area faced mob attacks.
