AGARTALA, April 12 (TIWN): Tripura University has taken step against Dr. Motikapur Manikrao Moon, Guest Teacher, Department of Sociology, Tripura University in view of complaint received by Tripura University through mail to Vice-Chancellor on “Imposter Moti Kapoor Nuisances at Tripura University Class”. A four member inquiry committee has been appointed to inquire the matter and requested to submit its report within 15 days from the date of the notification. Dr. Moon will not be allowed to conduct the classes till further order.

Another staff Mr. Manas Kumar Pal, UDC, Tripura University was suspended on12.08.2019 in connection with FIR by Ms. S. Gambhini, Patron, Girls Hostel, TU on 09.08.2019 the University has also provided sufficient guards for her security purpose since the day.

The decision of suspension was taken by the University on the basis of legal advice. Mr. Pal has been suspended in contemplation of departmental proceeding under Rules 10 of CCS (CCA) rules 1965 read with section 26 of Tripura University Act, 2006. An inquiry committee has also been constituted to inquire the matter. Along with the same the matter has also been moved to Internal Complaint Committee.
