In light wave of wind, power cut has hit normal lives whereas nothing happens even after complaining to the power dept. In a serious frustration tone, people now in Tripura no more complaining regarding power cut issues in local power house offices as nothing happens even after complaining. BJP Govt unable to give salaries of 4500 | NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, June 6 (TIWN): Congress on Thursday has slammed the Modi Govt for not allowing 5G in BSNL and leading both BSNL and MTNL’s slow deaths. Addressing media at AICC headquarter at New Delhi, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera said, “Just before few years, we raised the issue of BSNL and MTNL through a press conference and discussed how BJP Govt’s wrong policy has been drowning the PSU which was developing and expanding profits. In UPA’s time Rs. 7,838 crores of profit was gained by MTNL. Our Govt (Congress) made it a profit making company, but if we see the loss only in 1 year (2019) you will see 3,390 crores of losses and the last 5 year’s loss cost of MTNL has been 11,208 croreâ€.Referring BSNL’s condition, Pawan Khera said, “16% of losses have been reported only in one year (2019). When company’s liability downed at Rs.14,601 crores and its assets are Rs. 9,918 crore. There are 45,000 employees whose salaries can not be given by the Government. Doctor attacked in Tripura again by ruli | AGARTALA, June 4 (TIWN): Once again doctor has been attacked in Tripura but so far no arrest was done till the evening report. On the heart of capital city Agartala massive attacks took place on a doctor and another local in the midnight. The attack took place amid Chief Minister Biplab Deb’s strict objection against violence and harassment to the common men. Doctor Chayan Bhattacharjee’s house was attacked in the midnight by BJP hooligans and stones were pelted at his home. The glasses of his home left broken and on the same night another local named Subhadeep Bhattacharjee resides near Sishubihar School with his mother and aunty. The doctor has alleged one local goons named Diptanu Ghosh (Sonai) along with some miscreants have attacked his home in midnight and Diptanu had introduced him as a BJP worker. They demanded helfty from him and when they came were drunk and vandalized the house, left liquor bottles here and there. India witnessed most expensive election | AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 4 (TIWN): A report published today in India has claimed that nearly Rs. 27000 crores have been spent in 2019 Lok Sabha Election. The report first came in National Herald, Deccan Herald like leading media which have also claimed merely 45% of total election expenditure has been spent by the BJP alone. This is however country’s “most expensive election ever, anywhere†with around 60000 crores whereas BJP itself has used 45% of the total expenditure. This time's expenditure is a growth of 6-7 times from the 1998 Lok Sabha polls when around Rs 9,000 crore was spent, the study 'Poll Expenditure: The 2019 Elections' by a private think tank the Centre for Media Studies (CMS) claimed. Spending by political parties and candidates to woo 900 million voters in the just concluded polls cost them nearly Rs 60,000 crore ($8.7 billion), more than double of 2014 polls, according to the New Delhi-based Centre for Media Studies.
