Common men at Agartala were found in long lines for fuel since the morning amidst cold & fog. Reportedly, because it’s holiday so more lines before petrol pumps were observed as bikers are managing their whole week’s fuels inside their vehicles-- because ‘fuel ending’ means for 3/ 4 hrs waiting before a petrol pumps. Moreover, there is no guarantee that fuel will be available in petrol pumps if it finishes. Asking few young men at Durga Bari petrol pump, they told TIWN, “We are planning for long rides at evening and for that we need fuel for which we are standing in long lines since 3 hrsâ€. The Union government will launch awards under the Lucky Grahak Yojana and Digi-Dhan Vyapar Yojana-- twin schemes incentivising digital payments-- in 100 cities over 100 days, the NITI Aayog said on Saturday."The first draw of the Lucky Grahak Yojana to provide a cashback of Rs 1,000 to 15,000 consumers every day for the next 100 days will be launched on Sunday in New Delhi by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Information Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad. Increasing smuggling hits Sepahijala Dis | AGARTALA, Dec 24 (TIWN): Encountering cattle smuggling at Indo-Bangla border under Sephajala Dist. one Muslim man was killed when BSF troopers, while on patrol along the India-Bangladesh border in Tripura, opened fire suspecting him to be a smuggler, police said here on Saturday. The deceased has been identified as Araber Rahman (38). The incident occurred at Balerdepha village (under Sipahijala district) on Saturday early morning, when BSF was in patrolling in that area and in attempt to nab him. However, Rahman’s family members have denied the BSF allegations and lodged a complaint with the police against the para-military troopersâ€, police spokesman Uttam Kumar Bhowmik said. A tension like situation has gripped the Sepahijala area after that incident. Cattle smuggling is radically increasing via Indo-Bangla border of Tripura especially in Sepahijala Dist.
