DHAKA / AGARTALA, Dec 26 (TIWN): Border security has been beefed up along indo bangle border in Tripura. Terror threat from Bangladesh is real and porous borders with India problematic.

Bangladesh faces yet another terror challenge as a woman suicide bomber blew herself up during an anti terror raid in Dhaka, killing two on Saturday in the eve of marry xmas.

This was the first time that a woman acted in the capacity of a suicide bomber in Bangladesh bringing up yet another challenge for Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan and I&B Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said that the terrorists are losing ground and are desperate, hence using women as suicide bombers now.

When asked about this particular terror attack in Dhaka's Ashkona, where a woman had been used as a suicide bomber, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said, "Yes, this is the first time, but the people of Bangladesh does not support this thing."

Bangladesh I&B Minister Hasanul Haq Inu said, "The terrorist network in Bangladesh is almost smashed by the present government under Sheikh Hasina, but there are remnants, who are on the run. They want to make a point to the international community that terrorism exists in Bangladesh."

The woman is believed to be a part of the Jamaatun Mujahideen Bangladesh group.
