A girl named Barsha Deb (10), who belongs to a very poor family, also got injuries on her head a little. Dealing with old scams biggest challenge | MUMBAI / AGARTALA, Oct 13 (TIWN): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said here on Wednesday that dealing with old scams has been the biggest challenge for him after he assumed charge of the post two years ago.He was responding to a question on the issue on completion of two years in office. "Some old scam comes into the picture; some company gets blacklisted... It is very easy to blacklist a company but there are very few arms companies to buy material from," the minister said. "I can't buy a gun required for a naval ship because the main company, subsidiary, or smaller company is involved in some sort of blacklisting procedure with the government of India. In Europe, there are virtually three or four groups... worldwide, arms suppliers to India are restricted to about 10 to 12, even though the number may appear to be about 30-40... many of them are linked with each other. It becomes almost impossible to navigate through all this," Parrikar said.He said a "mess was created", giving the example of the Rafale fighter jet deal with the French government. Durga Puja ends with tight budget : Trip | AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura govt employees passed the whole year with half salary of the Central Govt. Employees and instead of 31 % DA ordered given by HC, state govt. is providing them only 4 % DA; on the other hand the officer level employees yet to get the Puja advance, although Durga puja has been ended. Reportedly, Tripura govt. sanctioned the advance money lately, just before the vacation started and as a result it couldn’t enter in their salaries. Although after puja the advance money is cut from their account, but this time as per report none of them received the advance. The other employees however have been provided with Rs. 700/- bonus only. From peon, clerk and other C category employees all have received the same amount, without calculation of any salary percentage. Connectivity Disaster : Tripura’s | AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): In the name of Capacity building, Tripura Govt. has failed to line up digital connectivity even after 8 years. Now the BJP led Central Govt. has increased the deadline upto 2017. The Capacity Building (CB) is a Project which was sanctioned by the Govt. of India for Tripura initially for 3-year period at a total cost of Rs.7.36 crores on 26th February in 2008, which had been extended till Jan 9, 2015. But, now the project has been further extended up to March 2017. Tripura Govt. which keep who is extending the project years after years, it’s doubtful whether the project will get a shape by 2017 or not. Tripura Govt. also claims that under Capacity Building scheme, Govt. of Tripura has appointed an advisory body called State e-Governance Mission Team (SeMT) to assist the state in the so called Capacity Building.The project includes trainings like ‘IT Security Policy’, ‘DPR/ RFP Preparation’, ‘e-Procurement’, ‘Project Management’, ‘Business Models & Public Private Partnerships’, ‘Change Management’, ‘Government Process Re-engineering (GPR), ‘e-Governance Project Life-cycle’ etc. | 11-Oct-2016 |

On Monday, the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative (CHRI), in data released here, also revealed that four Information Commissions -- in Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura and Uttar Pradesh -- have not published any annual report on their respective websites till date since their inception in 2005.
