Last day of Durga Puja brings tears : A four-day sojourn ends in celebration, sindoor khela

AGARTALA, Oct 11 (TIWN): On the occasion of Bijoya Dasami state gears up in brotherhood sentiments after worshipping Devi Durga on earth for long 4 days. During these 4 days people cheered up in various programmes, get together and while giving farewell to Devi Durga a lot of sadness were observed on their faces. The Country is presently undergoing tremendous terrorism threats with the attack of Pakistanis on India’s border areas. Devi Durga who is considered as the destroyer of all omen powers------with her arrival the brotherhood sentiment had once again evoked the public to be together in Unity & regardless tribal, Bengalis, Hindus / Muslims all are celebrating Durga Puja. Now time has come when Devi Durga has began her journey for Heaven for another year. During Durga Puja days, forgetting all worries, hatred people get together & the sentiment of brotherhood generates among every sections of people.

However, Pomp and pageantry and devotion marked the occasion of Bijoya Dasami across the state. People since morning were busy to pay offerings to Devi Durga. 

At Agartala Durga Bari temple hundreds of people decked up in their best and gathered at the temple to offer prayers to Goddess Durga, women played Sindoor Khela with each other.
