AGARTALA, Oct 12 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura govt employees passed the whole year with half salary of the Central Govt. Employees and instead of 31 % DA ordered given by HC, state govt. is providing them only 4 % DA; on the other hand the officer level employees yet to get the Puja advance, although Durga puja has been ended. Reportedly, Tripura govt. sanctioned the advance money lately, just before the vacation started and as a result it couldn’t enter in their salaries. Although after puja the advance money is cut from their account, but this time as per report none of them received the advance. The other employees however have been provided with Rs. 700/- bonus only. From peon, clerk and other C category employees all have received the same amount, without calculation of any salary percentage. The bogus bonus however creates resentment every year as in private sectors also a rank-wise percentage of their salary is given as bonus, but for Tripura govt employees all are getting the same.

However, now Durga Puja has been ended and only households know what they could buy with that 700/ rupees of bonus.

In today’s date puja donation is expected atleast more than 1000/- who are working as Govt employees, as club boys do not bother to know what Tripura Govt is giving to its employees.

It has been really tough for the govt employees to manage their families and to lead a quite comfortable life, due to the burning market price of commodities. This year on road also the crowd was less in compare to the previous year, which is another sign of peoples’ frustration.

Maximum young unemployed youths prefer to be intoxicated, which increase the tension of the parents once more. The less amount of salary, less DA, Fixed govt. employees, many terminated staffs, contract basis staffs-------- all these every year are damaging the festive mood for many households across the state.
