AGARTALA, Oct 14 (TIWN): The skeleton-type reality of Tripura Govt hospitals can not be understood, unless and until someone’s own family member has not undergone tremendous emergency situations. There are big-big hospitals, high buildings in Tripura, but what has inside those buildings? Lack of doctors during puja days had turned lives miserable in state and surprisingly, there was not enough shifting duty of doctors resulting doctor-less hospitals in emergency time. Whereas in Puja times, it needs more doctors but in Tripura the scenario is different. On Oct 11 night during a heavy accident between 2 autos many people were seriously injured. A girl named Barsha Deb (10), who belongs to a very poor family, also got injuries on her head a little. Along with her family she was coming back to home after meeting her uncle at Hapania Hospital, who is in the last stage of his life due to cancer.

4 members of Barsha’s family were taken to IGM Hospital, where amidst crisis of doctors they ultimately got treatment and returned back to home.

But after 1 day (on Wednesday) Barsha started to vomit frequently and she immediately was taken to IGM Hospital. After sitting for hours they came out as no doctors were available there. Then after meeting a private doctor he told them that a bone of her ear has been stuck with brain and she immediately needs operation otherwise she will die. Their family is so poor that to visit ILS was not possible for them. However, they still tried to reach doctors, ILS was found doctor-less due to Durga puja for brain operation.

GB Hospital kept her for 1 day, then they said her operation is not possible here in Tripura & now she has to referred at Kolkata Hospital.

The family is managing anyhow take her to Kolkata but already her pain has gripped her brain.

This is the condition of Manik Sarkar’s Golden Tripura and his so called peaceful state.

In the main referral hospital a brain operation can not be done by doctors, whereas every year many doctors are passing out from outside and inside the state.
