TIWN Dec 6, 2021

AGARTALA, Dec 6 (TIWN): Students who disagreed to face the challenge of suddenly announced 80 marks exams have been denounced from getting sympathy from the Education Dept and are likely to fail in the subjects if they are not allowed to sit for reexaminations.
The issue developed when the Education Dept suddenly changed its decision to take 80 marks exams instead of 40. Thousands of students protested on the road for the last few days against the decision to seek “more time for preparation” if 80 marks exams are taken.
However, as the department did not change its decision and the majority of the students sat in exams, the Education Dept has announced the exam is over! It has resulted in nightmares for the students who did not attend the Class-IX and Class-XI exams as they were protesting on the road instead.
The exams started on December 4. However, the students can now appear in the rest of the subjects.
Sources said the protests were initiated by Congress's student cell NSUI state-wide.
