300 Bedded new COVID19 Treatment Centre | AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): As Chief Minister Biplab Deb has announced to convert Agartala's Bhagat Singh Youth hostel into a 300-bed COVID19 treatment center, it has converted successfully and today huge numbers of COVID19 patients were brought to the Centre. From Ambassa to the hostel in Agartala, patients were brought to quarantine. The COVID19 positive persons from BSF 138 and 86th Bn and their positive family members were also brought there. Horrifying murder of Woman in Agartalaâ | AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Railway cleaning staff, a 42 years old woman was killed mercilessly with sharp weapon in Agartala’s Milan Chakra area, erupting heavy resentments among locals. 'I will be happy if 10323 teachers file | AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): Education Minister Ratanlal Nath has given an epic reply to the 10323 teachers after they announced to move Supreme Court with a ‘contempt petition’ against Education Director and 3 more officers for keeping science graduate teachers jobs and terminating the 10323 teachers. Replying media queries, the Minister said that indeed he will be happy if the teachers file a contempt petition against the officials. Nath said, if necessary Govt will help the teachers financially to fight the legal case in Supreme Court as ultimately, State Govt wants to save their jobs. Ratanlal Nath further said, “There is no point of heating up the market, when High Court, Supreme Court both have terminated the teachersâ€. Contempt petition against Tripura†| AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): In a breaking update, Tripura’s 10323 teachers have decided to move to Supreme Court against 4 officials of the State Govt with allegation of misleading Supreme Court’s verdict and keeping science graduate teachers jobs. The 10323 teachers now said, they have evidence that the science graduate teachers were also terminated from the posts. Addressing media, the 10323 teachers said, ‘First of all, the old academic year was not ended but we are said terminated, which is illegal and against court’s order. We asked Education Director U K Chakma whether this 2019-20 academic session is ended or not but he could not give any reply. But still we are said that we are terminated. The Supreme Court verdict has various sides which could not be understood properly by such high officials also. That verdict was totally misled. The officials are totally giving wrong explanation of the verdict before CM and other Ministers. TIWN visited Khowai border areas where TSR jawans were deployed in sensitive areas.
