AGARTALA, May 7 (TIWN): AMC Commissioner Sailesh Yadav has predicted a less water-logging this year in the Agartala city.

With  this purpose, today he checked various areas with covered drains. The AMC workers cleaned the covered drains long back and the works started few weeks back.

Also new machines were set, which on yesterday downed the water-flow and logs within an hour. Public also predicted that if machines are functioned in time and AMC workers work like this, then the water logging problem will give certain reliefs.

However, with heavy rainy days for few, the real situation can be understood.

Govt earlier had launched a plastic free movement which is another cause of long time holding water-logging.
