Law Minister takes 360 degree turn from | AGARTALA, Sep 3 (TIWN): SSA, RMSA teachers received a major jolt in the Assembly on Monday after Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said that SSA, RMSA teachers are central govt employees and central govt already stopped funding for them whereas Tripura Govt extended their jobs till September 2019, however, the Central Govt has considered that period and allocated funding till September 2019 and after that what will happen, it can not be said now, but Education dept checking the matters. A local newspaper also stated that Nath said, this regularization issue must be under legal process and State Govt can't act on this. Before election, Ratan Lal Nath rushed to SSA’s hunger strike and promised them to be regularized if Govt changes. But after 1 year 6 months of the BJP Govt, Nath on yesterday said that Rs. 166 crores 16 lakhs and 86 thousands have been spent for the teachers by State Govt since Centre stopped funding for them. Tripura High Court postponed 10323 teach | AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): Recently the 10323 ad-hoc teachers had filed a case in the High Court in plea of restoration of their jobs with various legal points. The case was heard but no final verdict was given and the next data has been given on 30th September, 2019. An advocate in the High Court said that the there is another similar case in High Court and both cases will be heard on same date. He also informed that the case at first was filed in the Supreme Court but Supreme Court dismissed the plea and thus the teachers have moved for a fresh appeal in the High Court. 10323 Teachers case’s hearing in | AGARTALA, Sep 2 (TIWN): West Tripura District Magistrate Sandeep Mahatme has ordered Section-144’s imposition on Monday at the 2 kilometer area of Tripura High Court area at the onset of hearing of the 10323 teachers case which was filed by the terminated 10323 teachers to save their jobs in a last attempt. This order by the DM was given on urgent basis to maintain the law and order situation. A source has informed that since the morning 9 am gathering was reported in the High Court area by the teachers which erupted tensed situation. Understanding the gravity of the situation, DM West has imposed section 144 of the Cr.P.C with restrictions as no gathering of beyond 5 persons at any place, no roaming of bike with 2 or more persons. 197 Kg Ganja seized from Silchar outboun | KADAMTALA (North Tripura), Sep 1 (TIWN): In a shocking news, massive ganja (cannabis) recovery was reported from an ambulance at Kadamtala on Sunday in a joint drive of Police and BSF. The drive took place under Kadamtala Police and Tarakpur BSF’s joint attempt. The ambulance carrying ganja was going from Dharmanagar (Tripura) to Silchar (Assam). It has been known now that this was an old trick to smuggle ganja and other contrabands from Tripura but police could not guess it till before BSF 166-Bn, Tarakpur had informed police about it on yesterday night. Both BSF and Police remained alert since yesterday night resulting in massive success today morning. Planwise, the BSF and Police were checking at Kurti-Jherjheri border routes and got success. Today morning the ambulance bearing number Tr05-2991 while passing through it was caught red-handed but the driver managed to escape.
