Since Modi Govt in power fuel prices have been taking a serious tone with daily hikes, but recently with Govt’s decision of slashing Rs. 5 on fuel had decreased the fuel price below 70 rupees. But when everyday price was decreasing Tripura BJP led State Govt has once again imposed VAT on the fuel leading again hike. On yesterday the petrol price was Rs. 67.34 whereas today it raised at Rs. 67.39. Massive attacks on CPI-M on Polling Day | BISHALGRAH, Dec 27 (TIWN): Democracy’s total destruction witnessed under Biplab, Pratima’s Mafia Era. Total four subdivisions came under BJP’s brutal attack on Municipal poll day in Tripura on Thursday. At Belonia, Bishalgrah, Santir Bazar, Sadar subdivision CPI-M agents were not only removed from the polling stations but even the voters could not cast their votes and BJP activists themselves casted votes of public entering the booths. At Bishalgrah subdivision, CPI-M Ex-Minister MLA Bhanulal Saha was physically attacked today and many more CPI-M polling agents, leaders were attacked and one is admitted at TMC hospital in Hapania. CPI-M in a press release condemning the attack said, “Total 10 candidates have submitted nominations and accordingly CPI-M candidates along with polling agents went to the booth centres. In Booth No-3 and Booth No-5, polling agents were sent whereas like all booths BJP prevented them to enter in those booths also. At 9 am, BJP miscreants led by Nabadul Banik (Yuva Morcha President of Bishalgarh who recently attacked Ex-Chief Minister Manik Sarkar at Bishalgarh) along with around 50 BJP goons started beating the CPI-M activists and polling agents at there. | 27-Dec-2018 |
Voters’ pushed back from Voting r | AGARTALA / BISHALGRAH / BELONIA / SANTIRBAZAR, Dec 27 (TIWN): With another major setback, CPI-M candidates in four subdivisions were forced to give up election during voting procedure and left booths out of BJP's organize attacks. Voters were stopped from casting votes and BJP occupied the booths, illegally entered the booths and continued to cast votes according to their wishes in four Subdivisions : 1) Belonia, 2) Bisalgarh, 3) Santir Bazar, 4) Sadar. A massive protest rally was staged at Agartala SDM Office premise by CPI-M supporters slamming the terror-ruling of Chief Minister Biplab Deb, who is also the party President of BJP. State Election Commission and Police's puppet role have generated massive resentment among the voters. Addressing media, CPI-M State General Secretary Gautam Das said, “Today Municipal Election started followed by BJP’s terror across State since yesterday night. Today since the early morning, Belonia, Santir Bazar, Bishalgrah and Sadar subdivision’s various areas have been haunted by BJP’s terror and poll rigging. BJP in very organized way, under police’s observation, pushed back CPI-M polling agents from the poll centres, even voters were removed from rows and then the BJP activists continued attacks on CPI-M leaders, agents at there and finally forced them to fight election.
