Bustles of Party-Changing in Tripura ahe | AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): Hustle-Bustles of party changing are going in full wave in Tripura just one year ahead of Assembly Election. Whether from Congress to Trinamool; Trinamool to BJP or BJP to Trinamool : the political leaders are heavily displaying their confusions about the 'suitable' party for them, which is further confusing the voters about whom to vote. The most important question is who will replace CPI-M in Tripura? On the other hand CPI-M wants the oppositions to fight with each others as much as possible so that their divided vote banks would save CPI-M and Melarmath Party for more 5 years. 2 arrested in North Tripura after raisin | AGARTALA, March 2 (TIWN): 2 accused were arrested on Wednesday after FIR llodged against them for injuring local Hindus and giving slogans of 'Pakistan-Zindabad'. These 2 arrested persons are : Jalal Mia and Matubuddin. However, an RSS National leader Purnachandra Mandal raised question why among 57 identified accused Tripura police has arrested only 2 of them? "The person who is staying in India, feeding his stomach with Country's food how can he say 'Pakistan-Zindabad', unless he is an ISIS agent ?', said Mandal. Mandal further expressed dissatisfaction over Tripura CPI-M Govt for their attitude to such Anti-Nationalists. 'A person may belong to any party, but party should not tolerate Anti-Nationalism', said Mandal. Central funding slashed after Tripura Go | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): CPI-M's organized corruption deprived Tripura of Rs. 6000 crores projects related to Ayurvedic Hospital and Health Service Development after the state govt failed to send any audit report to the Centre under AYUSH, said Union Minister for State AYUSH Shripad Naik on Wednesday at BJP Head Quarter at Krishnanagar. While addressing the press, Naik said, "Whereas Tripura Govt always pinches the Central Govt. saying that it is not allocating funds properly, in reality this Govt has no intention for development. This is wrong to blame accuse the Centre without any reason, whereas Central Govt is pushing Tripura Govt to jointly take a 14 crores project for Ayush hospitals where the state govt has to spend only 10 %. But till day the Govt gave no response to Centre's call for this 90 : 10 project. CBI chargesheeted corrupt DGP Nagraj's | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): India's most corrupt DGP K. Nagraj who was charge-sheeted by CBI in 2005, 2007 for stealing public money and amassing wealth disproportionate to sources of income is an utter failure in running Tripura's Police administration. DGP K Nagraj's leadership of Tripura Police Force since 2014 has burdened the state with bundles of pending cases, un-lodged FIRs; although he regularly indirectly claims himself as the 'Best-DGP' in Tripura for decreasing crime-rates 'incredibly' in state. Whereas Nagraj claims about decreasing crime against women, Assembly data revealed that out of 207 rape cases only 96 chargesheets could be submitted by Tripura Police in 2016, whereas only 10 FRs were submitted leading 101 pending cases in total. In 2015 also the scenario was better although. Out of 213 rape cases total 160 chargesheets were submitted and more 16 FRs were submitted and the pending number was 101. But in 2016 the number had radically increased with 101 pending cases. In July 2016 total 21 rape case were registered, in 2016 August total 22 cases, in 2016 Sept 19 cases, in 2016 Oct 16, November 15, December 18 and in January 17. | 01-Mar-2017 |

Tripura SSA-RMSA employees yet to regula | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): With 12-charters-of demands Tripura RMSA, SSA teachers sat on protest on Wednesday at Office Lane, Agartala voicing against irregular jobs and salary structures. Reportedly, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) had begun on 2001, whereas Rastrya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyaan (RMSA) was launched in 2009. Thus whereas SSA teachers are doing contractual jobs since 17 years, the RMSA teachers are from 10 years. Teachers and other working staffs complained that eventhough they are working for more than 10 to 17 years, but there is no promotion in their profession till day. Moreover, the 'One-Day-Gap' has exhausted their all hopes, depriving them from all chances to be regular in coming future. However, along with that 156 RMSA LDC and Lab Assts who lost their jobs----the RMSA, SSA teachers also raised voice for them, asking the Govt to provide them alternative jobs. | 01-Mar-2017 |
Board Examination from Thursday : CPI-M' | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): Assembly Election is after one year, but the political competitions in Tripura have raised so high that amidst Board Examinations also, there is no mercy from sound pollution across the state. This sound pollution presently reported from the party gatherings, revolutionary talks in high-pitched volume leaving no peace for the students. With a surprise when Class -12 Examination will start from Thursday, CPI-M's movement with 5 charters of points has begun on Wednesday. CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar said that there will be atleast 500 programmes in this one months in average 17 programmes per day. Out of 8 Districts Tripura's 17 party programmes in a single day may not only hit the Examination preparation for students, but also may create chaos during examinations season.This was only CPI-M but Cong, Trinamool, BJP are not lagging far behind than CPI-M. Tripura Election Battles : After Congres | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): Tripura's 3 opposition parties are busy in election competition and now BJP has geared up to cite example of Civil Disobedience Movement; stressing on Chanmohon Tripura murder. Already Congress and Trinamool have completed that part and now BJP is going to organize Civil Disobedience move on March 4th centering Chamohon Tripura's murder. Both Congress and Trinamool had 11 demands and special focus was given to Rose Valley issue. BJP State President Biplab Deb during his visit at Dharmanagar has on Tuesday announced about this party programme schedule. Apart from that on March 10, demanding CBI inquiry against Chanmohon Tripura murder BJP is going for another set of protest at Agartala. However, almost all the parties have observed this Civil Disobedience Movement except CPI-M, if they finish the part it will be all done. However, BJP State President also met Union Home Minister Rajnath Signh in this regard. Immediately after the murder Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bijan Dhar commented that Biplab Deb meets Rajnath if a cat at Agartala town dies. Union Minister expressed dissatisfaction | AGARTALA, March 1 (TIWN): 'Amidst pathetic Health Service situation in Tripura, there is no proposal from the state govt to Centre for setting up more Hospitals in Tripura', said Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik on Tuesday. According to Naik Modi Govt has decided to set up AYUSH Hospitals in each and every Districts of Northeast and like Delhi AIIMS there will be AYUSH Hospitals and Colleges and job opportunity to be increased more. But till day from Tripura Health Minister no such proposal was given to the Centre, which is fully unsatisfactory. However, with this comment question raised about the role of Tripura Govt. in dealing with Centre. Whereas Tripura Govt claims that Central Govt is not at all cooperative, but Central Ministers are giving different views. Same happened with the issue of language selection in Entrance Exams.
