Deteriorating Health Services in Tripura | AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): Deteriorating situations in GB hospital and various other hospitals in state have downed the Health Services. It has been reported that the EEG Section has left paralyzed for last 15 days in the hospital but the Dept has no concern to solve the problem. On being asked, a Health Staff has said that the technician Manika Sarkar is ill after had an accident. Due to the staff's absence, nobody is there to run the section, resulting the Sector left non-functional. Although it's a Govt hospital but there is no alternative staff which has turned the situation further critical. However, as per CM Biplab Deb, services in Tripura are better than services of Mumbai, Hyderabad. Now the question remains, why there is only one technician appointed for such a prominent hospital of the State like GB, when there are hundreds of unemployed technicians roaming for job? | 17-Nov-2020 |
Terminated 10323 Teachers to Go in Massi | AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers who are in long wait to be appointed, have set a protest programme on December, 2020 as Chief Minister Biplab Deb has not taken any initiative to fullfil the commitment given to them. While planning for the next protest programmes, the 10323 teachers raised question to the Govt about as the Govt is now appointing mere 4,000 non-teaching staffs, why it advertised and lied in the Supreme Court that it want to appoint 8,882 non-teaching staffs ? Why so much double role ? This Supreme Court matter was raised by former Teacher Bijoy Krishna Saha under AD-Hoc committee. This problem has erupted as in last 2 and half years Tripura BJP led State Govt has stopped plenty recruitment. Tripura is second in unemployment rate in India although Modi Govt before election had promised to give 50,000 Govt jobs in 1st one year that is 2018-19. 50,000 Govt jobs in first one-year was BJP’s basic promise to win the election in 2018 but while voting the young voters in the state never imagined that it was a ‘Fake Promise’ and no job is waiting for them, rather recruitment will be stopped with notification stating ‘Tripura has more employees than need’. In comparison to the previous Left era, the recruitment has downed above 80% and whatever recruitment is happening is contractual, unable to give a secure livelihood. Brutal attack on Photo-Journalist at Dha | AGARTALA, Nov 17 (TIWN): Increasing attacks on Journalists in Tripura have turned the works of press persons most difficult in state. Among the recent attacks, where a daily newspaper Pratibadi Kalam was attacked by burning newspapers, then attacks in Zee Tripura Office, severe attacks were brought upon a photo-journalist Biswajit Dey, S/O-Dipak Kumar Dey, works in a news channel "Digantabarta" at Dharmanagar subdivision, North Tripura. The incident took place at Harimandir road area, when he was covering a clash incident there which he spotted while doing "Kali Puja Porikrama" programme. Few hooligans were in fight with each other when Biswajit tried to capture the ongoing. Then, all of a sudden, he was attacked by those hooligans severely and beaten him on his head. Although, none of the goons could be identified by Biswajit but one of them was a Tom-Tom driver whose vehicle number is DMCER 1957. Although FIR has been lodged but no arrest was done so far. Addressing in a Kali puja programme, CM Deb has stated, "Our Govt is recruiting around 4000 people in teaching posts and more 4000 through manpower. Had any Govt had done this before ?" However when CM has claimed this, around 10,000 employees have been terminated in state from Govt posts including contractual posts, when BJP had promised to regularize all contractual employees. Moreover, BJP had its own Vision Document promise about 50,000 Govt jobs in first one year but could not recruit even 5,000 till now practically.
