AGARTALA, July 1 (TIWN): A huge quantity of foreign liquors were seized by Add SP Sharmistha Chakraborty from town Pratapgarh on Saturday night.

A team of Tripura police led by Sharmistha Chakraborty and East Police O/C conducted the raid sucessfully.

However, noone has been arrested so far.

But the situation depicts there may be a recket of liquor production business and the locally produced liquors are sold in barnded bottles of Agartala.

No name of the accused has been announced but both the house owner and the rent-holder are accused for running this illegal business.

The arrest action to be held after proper inquiry, said a police source.
