AGARTALA, July 2 (TIWN): An acute fuel crisis, commodity price hike to hit Northeast state Tripura as a section of IPFT are going to block National Highway and Railway demanding separate state, but with a surprise, the state govt has no concern about all these leaving every blames upon the Centre alleging PMO knows about the strike. On the other hand, the opposition parties demanded an All-Party-Meeting before the emergency situation emerge in Tripura, like Manipur. Only 8 days left that Tripura separatist group IPFT led by N C Debbarma will start road blocking since July-10 in demand of a separate land.

But neither Tripura Home Minister has talked regarding the serious issue with Centre, nor the Central Govt has reacted to the dangerous outcomes of the incident.  

As a result tension has gripped the common people as the railway and Assam-Agartala National Highway blocking will cause serious consequence in coming days like Manipur. 

The ruling left front party is also utter busy to blame the opposition BJP and asked them to reveal ‘what BJP actually thinks regarding Twipraland’.

Tripura’s Home Minister cum Chief Minister Manik Sarkar is also silent with the issue leading very critical situations in the next 1 month ahead of country’s 71st independence day. Once the blockade started, then a chaos to hit the state but when only 28 days left when the blockade will begin, Tripura Govt yet to call the Union Home Minister to discuss the issue. Tension is hitting the state fueled by election tension for 2018.

The tribal-based party Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT), which has been agitating for the creation of a separate state, announced on Wednesday that it would block National Highway-8 and the rail tracks for an indefinite period from July 10.

NH-8 maintains the surface connection between the land-locked state and the rest of India through Assam.

The IPFT for the past few years has been agitating for the creation of a separate state, carved out by upgrading the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) area. The TTAADC was formed in 1987 under the Sixth Schedule of the Constitution to protect and safeguard the political, economic and cultural interests of the tribals.

The politically-important council constitutes two-thirds of Tripura's 10,491 sq/km area and 1,216,465 (mostly tribals) of the state's total 37 lakh population reside in the areas.
