Noise pollution hits Diwali night ! Po | AGARTALA, Oct 30 (TIWN): After all when it come for celebration, rules fail to control the tortures done by the majority. As patients, old people belong to the minority, the noise pollution is a non-issue here. Diwali night was also not different. Due to sound crackers the night became torturous in Agartala but police didn't take any action against this. Moreover, there is no action taken against high sound boxes during day or after night 12 also. The most sufferers are the old people, little babies and those who like to work few hours in day time of puja. Ahead of Puja month officials of the State Pollution Control Board get busy ensuring that the noise pollution levels do not exceed the specified levels.According to the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules, 2000, as amended in 2012, the noise level at market places between 6am to 10pm should be below 65 dB. However, a relaxation of 10 dB is also given under rule 5(4) of the same taking the upper limit to 75 dB for special occasions. By Helicopter he rushed to monitor & review Jail infrastructure at South DM & SP. Reportedly, Gomati Dist jail was also inspected by the Home Secretary & his team.After the 3 prisoners successfully escaped from Bishalgarh jail, such inspection has begun, said TIWN source from South Tripura. The team surveyed the existing jail security and take corrective measures. Recently three officials, including superintendent of the Tripura Central Jail, were suspended for negligence after three prisoners, all serving life imprisonment, escaped from the prison of Bishalghar. They were -- Milan Debbarma, 28; Swarna Kumar Tripura, 22; and Rabindra Tripura, 24 – who fled from the jail in Bishalgarh Sepahijala district on last Friday night. The convicted criminals were serving life-imprisonment for different crimes, including murder, since 2012.A massive search operation was on in different locations and all the state's 74 police stations were on alert. 3rd TET exam in next month : Unemployed | AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): On November 20 total 3,439 candidates will appear in TET examination for 2,115 posts of Graduate and Post Graduate TeachersTotal number of 1,605 applicants had applied for the post of Graduate Teachers and 1,834 applicants applied for the post of Post Graduate posts. The vacancy for 1,294 Graduate teachers for class IX and X and vacancy 821 Post Graduate teachers has been kept. Among 1,294 Graduate teachers’ posts, 673 posts are approved for Under Reserved (UR) category, 220 posts for Scheduled Caste (SC) category and 401 posts for Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. And among 821 Post Graduate teachers’ posts, 428 posts are approved for 428 UR category, 141 posts for SC category and 252 posts for ST category, he added. All the candidates for both these tests will appear in Agartala centre on November 20. The Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (STGT) will take place from 09.30 am to 12 noon and Selection Test for Post Graduate Teachers (STPGT) will take place from 01 pm to 03.30 pm. The train, on its return journey, would leave Agartala every Sunday at 3 PM and touch Guwahati railway station at 09:05 AM on Monday. Why Manik Sarkar wants Datamohon back as | AGARTALA, Oct 28 (TIWN): After the High Court of Tripura on Oct 5 acquitted former state Law Secretary Datamohan Jamatia from charges of criminal contempt, the CPI-M govt is trying at its best level to bring back Datamohon as the law secretary of Tripura, who was banished from his post after various allegations raised against him, including slamming the High Court Judicial system. In a division Bench of High Court comprising of Chief Justice T. Vaiphei and Justice SC Das, Datamohon was removed from all the accusations. Since then, Tripura govt is trying to bring back Datamohon as the law secretary. Sources said that as the law secretary of Tripura Datamohon maintained the case of 10,323 teachers excellently but now the case is under trouble at Supreme Court. However, now question remains why Manik Sarkar always chooses the controversial figures for leading his Departments? Either it’s Ayyangar or DGP K Nagraj, S K Panda or Bimal Chakraborty----- all controversial figures are in top position in Tripura’s various depts. As mass resentment are against Datamohon still prevails, then is it necessary to bring him back to that position.
