The protest was staged in Agartala, Drop Gate area over National Highway after the CNG station employees told them that CNG was unavailable. Talking to the media, the agitators said, they have been facing this problem every day for the last month and today after waiting for five hours, when they said that no CNG was available, they were forced to stage the protest.

Many houses in the area have been affected due to the weather calamities. The incident happened in Rangmala village, Ward No-2, Sharat Chowdhury Para.
