AGARTALA, Oct 29 (TIWN): Instead of thanking the Central Govt and Indian Railway for expanding Railway networks in Tripura, connecting capital with BG service and 9 trains after that, all the CPI-M MPs, Ministers continued to allege various issues. One of the chief issues was, ‘Why no stoppage has been arranged at Ambassa?’ However, in reply, Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy said, ‘It’s Rajdhani. If Rajdhani can not reach Delhi with short time, what is the meaning of getting Rajdhani. Stoppage doesn’t mean only to stop but it takes much time to reload the train with high speed again’. Replying CPI-M's query why at Ambassa, no stoppage was given, Roy said, "It's Rajdhani. A single stoppage means not only to stop at there, but to take passengers and moreover it takes much times to get the speed back. All these things matter when running an express train. I was working for long in Railway for years and so I know the reasons".
The state leaders of CPI-M didn’t stop there but continued to say, "Tripura has been deprived of various facilities, railway division, slow work of Agartala-Sabroom Railway line" etc.
Tripura PWD Minister Badal Chowdhury said, 'Earlier NFR said within 2017 it will be completed, then it was delayed till 2018 and now saying 2019".
Counterattacking, the Ministers claims, Tathagata Roy said, "I asked the Railway Minister about it just now. This is totally a wrong allegation as Indian Railway has been always excellent in its work progress. Due to flood it was delayed but within 2018 up to Belonia the project to be completed, whereas within 2019 it will reach till Sabroom".
