AGARTALA, April 27 (TIWN): Tripura Industry & Commerce Minister Tapan Chakraborty on Wednesday during National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT) Centre inauguration programme at AgartalaBodhhungnagar instead IT talked expressed worried about funding issues.

 'The funding process with NE states should not be changed for more 5 years next. We are getting the fund benefit, but the process would be halted now', said Tapan Chakraborty to Central Industry Minister P P Chaudhury. Tapan Chakraborty also gave an advance excuse of state's performances in various issues. "When we are going with Digital India Mission and the Centre is reviewing our works we are facing some problems. But our point is the problems should be solved jointly. Internet in village Panchayat level is not happening due to BSNL's slow fiber cable work and bandwidth is also not helping us much'.

However, after the speech of Chakraborty ended P P Chaudhury said, 'That is true similar kinds of problems are faced by many states, but also take some initiatives by own. For Business process outsourcing (BPO), India has 48,300 seats, among which 5,000 seats are for Northeast. So utilize all the opportunities, with taking some special efforts by ownself. 

Nagaland followed PPP model in IT growth, but Tripura CM here ended with Moral support to the people who are interested with IT.

Tripura Govt who is much more interested in  building construction rather than actual IT development gain had left the IT building constructions on black listed NBCC's hands.

However Central Minister also advised  to develop Common Service Centres here. Minister said, "There are various keys which will play an important role in digital India Mission. But among the all important aspects, the CSC is the crucial method of functioning. Common Service Centre (CSC) will function as the nervous system of Digital India".

However, how far state IT Minister and his Principal Secretary follow these objectives of PPP model, CSC, Nagaland model-- this is to be seen.
