AGARTALA, Jan 17 (TIWN): Whereas Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar was given the "Rashtriya Basava Krishi Puraskar' for this year, at a large gathering at Koodalasangama (Bagalkot District) of Karnataka and following the award the Sarkar delivered long lectures on Education and Economic condition but the condition of his own state is just miserable. But what is surprising is that this award has been instituted to felicitate persons who contribute significantly to well-being and development of Agriculture and Peasants.Tripura’s slow GDP growth which has left the state without development day by day increasing the unemployment rate here in the state, whereas due to lack of Industrialization the source of income has remained very slow, but yet the state govt is not ready to adopt any private partner policy.

Tripura’s GDP growth rate is only 7 %, which is the lowest in the whole country even worse than Jharkhand and any  North East State.

However, alone the Tripura CM can not be blamed but it’s the Communist method of delaying industry in any society to keep alive the ‘poverty’.  It is not only Tripura Chief Minister who is concerned about the hypocritical-peace of the state, rather it’s communists’ policy not to go by the faster changing world, resulting more amount of frustration, drug business, robberies & crimes.

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan also said same recently. In a public talk he said, ‘Although state’s major concern is the slow pace of growth, but the Govt will not support such investment which may destroy the environment or violate existing rules’. Even Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar also claims the same. According to him, investor would not damage the existing peace of the state.

But question raises, what does CPI-M politburos means by peace? Is this called Peace which is shown in the silence of the public? Or in the increasing crime rates in state? In what angel Tripura can be called a ‘Peaceful state?” In crime against woman Tripura stands 4rth, drug trafficking rate is also very high & source of income is very less and people have been tired of raising voices.

Due to lack of industry it’s generating huge number of unemployed youths in state? Among 30 lakhs of its population as per govt record there are  7 lakhs unemployed youths who have entered names in Employment registers. Apart from that the unofficial unemployed rate is touching almost the population number.

The number of illegal business, crimes have been spiked up to fill up the moneyless condition. But still Communists demand for peaceful states.
