AGRTALA, Jan 16 (TIWN): After 3 tribal regional parties had jointly called for a strike across ADC areas, Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Bjijan Dhar called a press meet at Melarmath party Office and informed the media that the strike called by IPFT and other parties on February 8th is not acceptable. “The 3 parties IPFT, INPT, NCT have joined together just for political gain ahead of Assembly Election. They have no intension for any development or to protest in the true sense”, Bijan Dhar said. “The IPFT leaders jointly with other regional parties had protested against the Citizenship-Bill-2016 amendment recently placed by BJP Govt. The bill is contradictory in the sense as it is only for Hindu’s welcoming in India. Modi govt’s call for Hindu citizenship who came before 2014’s 31st December was protested by CPI-M and we told all the religion’s people should include in that bill", said Dhar.

"Apart from that CPI-M has no problem with the bill”, said Dhar.

“But issuing this bill the regional party leaders want to kick of another era of Terrorism, anarchy, disharmony etc”, Dhar said. “This will be a new process of a separatist move and will create total disharmony here. Earlier, due to Congress’s appreciation INPT caused many losses to the traditional harmony of the state, now BJP should not appreciate such views of any regional party. Aligning with them is aligning with clashes in future between Tribal and Bengalies”, said Dhar.

“Stop-dwell politics and also do not polarize Hinduism, so that such parties for political gain will cause disharmonies in the country”, Dhar said for BJP leaders of the state.

It’s worthy to mention here that In a joint move INPT, IPFT, NCT members led by IPFT leader N C Debbarma told media that they do not support the Citizenship-Bill-2016.  ‘If new people stay in India, they should not come in Tripura. Tripura has much population and they should be sent in places like Andaman where population is less’, said the leaders and issuing that the regional parties called for strike on February 8th across ADC.

However, CPI-M has protested against the strike calling it a foul play led by Tribal Leaders. “Protest, aligning can be for two purposes : Either for good or bad, but the IPFT leaders have done this for further disharmony and clashes”, Dhar said.
