AGARTALA, Oct 16 (TIWN): Capital City’s security & public’s safety are now on question as a mysterious fire has burnt at least 13 houses at Agartala's main town area, which caused massive losses to the families. The incident occurred at 4 AM on Sunday early morning, when there was no chance of crackers-burning or similar activities. All the victims alleged it was must have done by miscreants but surprising matter is that on the heart of Agartala City such a tragic incident occurred but police couldn’t do anything. Whereas during festive season it was said that police vigilence will be enforced to each and every corners of the city, but with the shocking incident it is now quite clear that policemen were in slumber during the incident. Local people complained that the fire brigade phone number was not working for long, but anyhow they managed to inform them about the situation. Instead of informing them fire brigade was late to that spot, resulting full damage to the houses. On day time, political leaders, govt officials including DM Millind Ramteke visited the spot.

BJP State President Biplab Deb and Vice President Subal Bhowmik also visited there and talked to the victims.

CPI-M Govt's every department under massive failure under Chief Minister Manik Sarkar.

However, Biplab Deb said, after holding a meeting they will decide how much they can provide to each of the victim families. Biplab Deb further requested the DM that atleast Rs. 5000/ to give each to the victim families.

AMC Councilor Biswajit Deb also talked to the victims. All the houses belonged to the Satyabrata Saha, the owner of the houses.

This is not the first time that fire-brigade’s negligence has caused such massive losses, but on Sep 27 also, due to negligence of Fire Brigade, 2 young boys named Subham Nama (18) & Mangal Das (26) died mercilessly inside a culvert tankers.

Day by day fire brigade’s slow activities are proving as “Useless” for public’s Emergency Help.

Moreover, due to lack of CCTV cameras police is yet clueless about the incident.
