Nomination papers of 128 candidates found valid

KAILASHAHAR, Feb 7 (TIWN): Keeping eye on the upcoming Village Committee election, BDO of Chandipur and Gournagar Block on Saturday declared the valid nomination.

According to the official reports, altogether 128 nomination papers of both the Chandipur and Gournagar Block have been declared valid by the BDO.

Detailing about the valid nomination papers, Gournagar Block BDO Sumitra Debnath mentioned that a total of 65 nomination papers of the candidates were declared valid.

She further mentioned that for the Congress party altogether 23 nomination papers were declared valid, CPM (25), BJP (6), INPT (2) and Independent party 3 for the three ADC village of Gournagar under Kailashahar Sub-Division.

On the other hand, BDO of Chandipur Block declared that for seven ADC villages in the Chandipur Block under Kailashahar Sub-Division.

Detailing about the number of valid nomination paper it has been mentioned that altogether 63 valid nominations have been declared.

It has been mention that altogether 30 nominations submitted by CPM party have been declared valid. Besides, Congress (9), BJP (9), INPT (1), IPFT (21) and independent party 3.

However, it has been reported that on February 9 Minister for Education Tapan Chakraborty is expected to visit Shingir Bill.

However, it has been mentioned that preparation is going on in full-fledged manner.

Parties are holding meeting in the various interior parts of the state with an aim to grab the seats in the upcoming election. It is to be mentioned Left Front Party has begin their campaigning for the village election long back.   

It is to be mentioned here that the last date of withdrawal of candidature is on February 8. However, the counting of votes will commence on February 27. Besides, it has been mentioned that the election procedures to be complete by March 7.
