Farmers said, even though hectors of lands are left without cultivation, but the farmers are helpless as no irrigation system was installed yet in their locality.

“We could cultivate three-times a year but now producing crops one-time a year is turning difficult,” said a local farmer.

The farmers requested the state government to solve their problems regarding irrigations and to help them in more cultivations.

Thousands of acres of land in the Takarjala, Hirapur, Amarendra Nagar, Pramodnagar, Doharam, Mand aharam areas of the Jampui Jala block are lying abandoned due to water crisis.
