TELIAMURA, April 4 (TIWN): As the Lok Sabha election dates are zooming, Tripura political parties continue their campaigning supporting their own candidates.
A rally was held by I.N.D.I.A. alliance supporters waving CPI-M, Congress flags in Teliamura Ampi Chowmuhani in support of East Tripura constituency candidate Rajendra Reang.
Addressing the rally, Reang said, “Under the Modi Govt, price hikes have been troubling the common men. When the country was suffering heavily with unemployment, Pulwama tragedy was used by BJP to earn votes.”
“Then they again came to power and under this regime, forgetting all previous promises for youths, poor, 15 lakhs in each account, BJP started slashing MGNREGA man-days. It failed to bring back black money,” said Reang.
“Nobody can raise a question. If anyone asks the Govt any question, then police, false cases, agencies are there to take action against them,” added Reang.
Rajendra Reang appealed for votes in the upcoming election on April 26 for the East Tripura constituency.
Opposition leader Jitendra Chowdhury was also present on the occasion.
