AGARTALA, Oct 27 (TIWN): Ahead of Lakshmi puja, sellers alleged low profit due to inflation in Agartala. Although idol sellers said, they are expecting a moderate business but the prices of idols are really high this year, causing little worries for the people to buy idols. As Lakshmi puja is an annual ritual for houses, people are purchasing Lakshmi idols, and carrying them home.

On the other hand, other stall keepers who sell additional materials for the Lakshmi puja said, they are not getting customers like other years.

“Not seeing any customer in my shop since morning. Let’s see what happens in next few hours”, said a young hawker who was selling Lakshmi puja items as plastic garlands, decorations etc.

Lakshmi puja will be celebrated on Saturday across houses. This festival is marked as welcoming the Goddess of Wealth to home.
