AGARTALA, Aug 21 (TIWN): Keshab Sarkar, who worked hard to bring Sushanta Chowdhury to power as an MLA at Majlishpur has slammed Sushanta Chowdhury for organizing violent attacks across Jirania. Keshab Sarkar, who is now a Congress member and recently quit BJP was met by former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar and some other CPI-M top leaders at his home, which was yesterday brutally attacked by BJP goons allegedly under instruction of Sushanta Chowdhury. Keshab Sarkar’s car was fully destroyed, gold ornaments and cash were looted from his home.

Slamming Sushanta Chowdhury, Keshab Sarkar said, “Sushanta Chowdhury has lost his all ethics and turned a total uncivilized and uncultured. I myself was one of the close friend of Sushanta who worked for election and BJP day night but right now Sushanta can not show his face in this area. Such a political violence has started here”.

Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday condemned attack on families in Jirania which was allegedly organized by Cabinet Minister Sushanta Chowdhury. Visiting the house of Keshab Sarkar, the former Chief Minister condemned the attack saying, “This is really unfortunate that being a Cabinet Minister such attacks are being organized on people. The attacked person was a BJP member and now such a deadly attack on his family shows BJP’s culture”.

“The youths were supposed to provided jobs but now instead of jobs, they are being pushed to indulge in violence”, accused Manik Sarkar.
