AGARTALA, April 21 (TIWN): As per CMIE data, Tripura ranks 3rd in the unemployment rate in Tripura. As the state is deprived of industrialization, the unemployed youths in technical fields are forced to move out of the state in search of jobs. But due to the nationwide job crisis, many unemployed youths are left with no option but to sit at home jobless. In this crisis, State Govt led huge post creation could help the situation as no scope is left to private companies. Many posts are vacant due to retirements in the engineering department but engineering posts have not been entertained under the previous Govt as well as under this current BJP Govt, resulting in a heavy unemployment toll among the engineers. Moreover, the salary structure is very low for engineers. Now, Doctors are also in the same condition and are bound to work at very minimum salaries. Resentment brewed among the unemployed youths as the Govt has no concern to fill up the vacant posts.

TET-qualified unemployed youths are regularly protesting against the delay in recruitment. On the other hand, JRBT results are also not published 7 months crossed after the exams.

Such frustrating jobless situations also trigger drug addiction in society and illegal trades are also on the rise.
