AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Classes from Pre-primary to Class-7 will be suspended from 17th to 30th Jan, said Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath in press meet. The decision was taken due to COVID surge. However, Class 8- Class12 will be continued with 50% student strength.
Govt ‘Ektu Khelo Ektu Poro’ programme will be started unlike 1st lockdown and moreover classes will be shown in Bondher Tripura Channel. Virtual classes will be continued from Pre-primary to Class-7, and all hostels will remain closed till further notice. If any teacher could not attend school due to Covid Positive then the teachers might have to attend class virtually, said the Education Minister.
However, College and University exams will be continued as per the given exam schedule.
On 29th Jan, review meeting will be held for further decision depending on COVID pandemic situation.
