AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): On a shocking note, the incident of snatching money by chasing a bike on the road at mid-day erupted tension in Belonia Rajnagar area.
According to the details of the incident, it came to know that Sumit Biswas, son of Gopal Biswas, a resident of the area adjacent to Akhand Mandali in Bilonia town, was on his way to Rajnagar under PR Bari police station from his home in Belonia on Wednesday afternoon. On his way some some miscreants grabbed Sumit, chased him and caught him on the road, forcibly dragged him from the bike to the nearby forest. With the threat of killing, they took away more than three and a half lakh rupees bag from him, said the victim.
Later, the victim somehow escaped from the place and called his friends and informed them. His friends immediately informed PR Bari Police Station. However, the armed miscreants managed to escape from the scene before the police arrived. The miscreants couldn't be identified as they were wearing masks, but the local eyewitnesses said that they were on two pulser bikes.
This incident created a situation of tension in the local area of Rajnagar. The police of PR Bari police station filed a case on the incident and started investigating.
