AGARTALA, Aug 17 (TIWN): Petrol diesel prices hikes continue in the state. On Tuesday, Normal petrol price in Agartala was recorded Rs 102.1, Branded- 105.31 and Diesel Rs 93.66.

On one side financial crisis hits the state’s people and on the other side increasing necessary commodities have become heavy on common people.  The petrol prices including diesel have become more expensive than before. Reportedly, in the past one year more than hundred times the fuel prices have been increased.

Over price hike of petrol and diesel, resentment is brewing among vehicle riders including dealers.

Talking to a petrol pump owner it is known, business profit margin is very less as per investment, several times the All India Petroleum Dealers Association (AIPDA) informed the Central Government to reduce the price of petrol and diesel but the dealers did not get any response.

The fuel price hike has been a burden on the vehicle riders.
