Jampui Hill retrofitted Eden tourist lodge to be opened from December 22: Tripura Govt. takes up projects to extend tourism

AGARTALA, December 20 (TIWN): The newly made modern tourist lodge 'Eden Tourist Lodge' at Vanghmun village in the Jampui hills which has been retrofitted recently to be opened from December 22, said Tourism Secretary Ashutosh Jindal.

Talking to TIWN at the civil secretariat, Tourism Secretary Ashutosh Jindal told that the retrofitting work of the Jampui Hill Eden tourist lodge ended up and it is all set to be inaugurated on December 22. Beside he said that the state tourism department has recently taken certain projects to extend its tourism in a better way.

Asked about the maintenance work of other tourists places of the state, Mr. Jindal said that for making a better tourists place the state govt. needs huge money and recently the state govt. is bearing every expenditure for the maintenance work of the existing tourists places of the state. Though the state govt. had send proposals for providing fund in this regard but the centre had always remained backtrack from providing any fund to the state, said Ashutosh Jindal.

Tourist Department of Tripura had constructed one very modern tourist lodge- 'Eden Tourist Lodge' at Vanghmun village in the Jampui hills which has a capacity of 20 persons and is well equipped with all modern amenities. In addition, local hospitable Mizo people also extend "paying Guest" Accommodation facilities in their houses.

Jampui Hill, is situated about 205 Km away from Agartala and is the highest hill range in the state bordering Mizoram. A large number of tourists, both domestic and foreign, do visits the place.The rainy season is no less charming. During this season the hill is covered with floating clouds and it provides a rare experience for the tourists. The formation of clouds at the bottom of the hill range and its gradual ascendance from the bottom to the top slowly engulfing the whole hill range in its mystic lap is an experience to treasure.

Jindal also informed that the retrofitting work of the Neer Mahal will be completed within the month of May, 2015.
