AGARTALA, November 25 (TIWN): Making it clear that any individual involved in corruption will not be spared by any means, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar said that the CBI probe on MGNREGA multi-crore scam is not necessary now as the state govt. has taken every legal steps against the culprits involved in corruption.

Speaking to the media persons on Monday at the secretariat conference hall, CM Manik Sarkar said that the state govt. had already identified the scams and corruption through the special audit reports and the state agencies had already started investigating those with every legal steps, therefore there is no question of CBI probe on it. it is to be mentioned here that earlier the opposition parties of the state had rising their voice against the massive corruptions and scams here in Tripura demanded for the CBI probe saying that CM Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. Clean and his left front is involved in corruption and scams at large.

Besides asked about the curtailment of the MGNREGA scheme here in Tripura, CM Manik Sarkar said that this is nothing new that has to be brought before the Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit here in Tripura on December 1. Mr. Sarkar said that the state govt. had already written to PM Modi to withdraw the central’s decision of diluting MGNREGA scheme in Tripura as it may bring a great loss for the poor people of the state. Therefore PM Modi is much aware of it and the issue don’t need to be raised newly before the PM during his visit, said Manik Sarkar. To mention here, the left backed MLAs had already left for Delhi for the CPI (M)’s sit-in-demonstration on November 26 regarding the same issue.

However, it is to be mentioned here, now Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. Clean is on a race to save his own image. CM Manik Sarkar said, “Whoever involved in corruption will not be spared”. But what makes the story interesting is that, till today the police allegedly acting on behest of the CPI (M) had not made any arrest of the other 9 accused of the MGNREGA multi-crore scam at Bishalgarh RD Block. And when the former BDO cum the scamster Bimal Chakroborty had already been arrested with no police credit, the CPI (M) and the left front govt. are on a race to save Bimal, the close aide of CM Manik Sarkar. Till today the CPI (M) had own as many strategies as they needed to curtain every corruption and scams that took place here in Tripura. With which every individual involved in corruption had already been spared in Manik’s rule in Tripura.

On the other when the oppositions here in Tripura had already demanded for the CBI probe on MGNREGA scam, CM Manik Sarkar on Monday made it clear that there is no need of CBI probe as the state agency is investigating the cases. But, to mention here, is this called the police investigation or CPI (M) investigation, when, the police allegedly acting on behest of the CPI (M) seem to have washed their hand? However, but this might be the only reason for not highlighting the issue of MGNREGA during the visit of PM Modi in Tripura. After all it is Chief Minister Manik Sarkar – the so called Mr. Clean.
