AGARTALA, July 31 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Friday has criticized the BJP led Central and Tripura Govt both accusing the Govts are doing partiality in lockdown rules impositions, saying, all rules of lockdown are imposed on the oppositions parties, exempting the ruling party.
Addressing media, Sarkar said, “Actually lockdown is going on from a long time in Tripura. It is going on for last 4 months. Any protest or voice of the opposition is being suppressed in the name of lockdown, whereas the ruling party leaders and Ministers are doing everything amid lockdown. For them, there is no restriction”.
Sarkar further alleged that the BJP led State and Central Govt both have failed to control the COVID-19 situation during the lockdown, as instead of decreasing, COVID-19 cases have spiked up across Tripura and also in the whole country.
