UDAIPUR, November 12 (TIWN): Very often School Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty claims to have adequate infrastructure in all schools even those in the interior areas. But the South Bagma Samatal Para H S School seems to ridicule this claim.

Established in 1984,  this school lacks minimum requirements like adequate number of class rooms and benches. Several times the school authorities complained to the higher authorities about the horrible situation of school. But till date no one in the School Education Department seems to hear their voice. All of us are aware that multi-crore scam has been conducted from the RMSA fund.Although the Centre allocates funds under RMSA to develop infrastructure in schools , in South  Bagma Samatal Para H S School no such fund has come during the last three years. Not only that the situation is now such that even the teachers are now compelled to take classes under the open sky while the students are to sit in makeshift mattresses. 
        Presently H S (+2 Stage) and Madhyamik Test examination are now going on. But this is a cause of worry for the teachers and students. Due to shortage of rooms students of VI-VIII are now compelled to attend their classes not in their class rooms but outside the class rooms and under a tree. Teachers , students and parents are really very discontent about the prevailing situation. Speaking on the prevailing situation Asst Headmaster Debasish Chakraborty said," We do feel for these little children . But what can we do if no rooms are available . This is a very old school and at any time the very building may even collapse. Compare to other schools in the state this school has yet to get the infra structures that it deserves. It is also painful for us to compel the children to sit in open air." 
        Parents as well as students complain that tomorrow on Thursday, Chief Minister scheduled to  visit Udaipur. But he has never taken care to have a close look at the current situation though the school is situated within 5 meters from the Sabroom-Agartala National Highway. Only on Monday School Education Minister visited Udaipur but after his meeting in the air-conditioned Rajarshi multi-complex, he left Udaipur without taking least care for the teachers and students of South Bagma Samatal Para H S School.  

Tripura's education is burdened with a dysfunctional, most hopeless Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty,who was a utter failure when he was health minister. So, what can be expected in this so called golden era of Tripura ?  Issues like this need immediate attention of DM Gomati, DEO so that basic nessesities can be provided to school children. Its a shameful picture of Tripura's school education that students have to undergo schooling under trees in open fields.
