AGARTALA, Feb 18 (TIWN): The ‘underserved’ Chief Minister who has claimed as a graduate without disclosing College’s name yet, had terminated one of the most talented Ministers from the Cabinet Sudip Roy Barman, whose academic career from school level remained impressive. However, when Health Services in Tripura are deteriorating day by day after the termination of Sudip Barman, Tripura CM Biplab Deb in charge of the Dept demanded credit saying last year malaria death decreased massively, although Deb could not credit the person Sudip Roy Barman for the good work.He was addressing in a blood donation camp in Agartala and said, “Only 1 death in malaria this year”.Noteworthy, when malaria disease started spreading, the then Health Minister Sudip Barman thanked media for criticizing his dept and opening his eyes about Dhalai Dist’s serious situation on malaria and also sought cooperation from media. He sent forces to admit people to hospital, forced people for blood tests who still were believing in ‘tantra’ ‘matra’ rather than medicines and doctors.

With all these attempts, last year malaria was controlled successfully under Sudip Barman. 

After few months, Barman was terminated, although, Sudip Barman was the only Minister who submitted his Departments’ report card two times in one year. No other Minister could submit report card yet.

Now, when public are dying in Govt hospitals and free medical services’ scrapping has put the Govt in the fire of criticism, Deb hides face behind Sudip Barman’s good works of 2018-19.

That is the reason, Barman’s apolitical rally of January 3^rd was attended by health dept officers as Dr. J.K.Debbarma amid threat from the Biplab Deb Govt.
