AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): Amtali Police today arrested both the culprits involved in a CPI-M leader’s murder case : 1) Sanjib Das, 2) Ratan Das. They can be called culprits as the case is almost closing due to available eye-witnesses and enough proofs. When the culprits were arrested and police brought them before media there was as if no shame or repentance on their faces. This incident once again has proven what happens if action against criminals are not taken in time and allowed them to roam in broad-day-light. Police official, Subarata Chakraborty has informed media that Sajib Das was involved in a sexual assault case which was filed by late Nakul Saha’s wife Nirupa Saha in Amtali PS and Police now has started action against them and very strong charges have been taken against them.

Sanjib Das was involved in sexual harassment to killed Nakul Saha’s wife Nirupa Saha and when trial against Sanjib Das started recently then this murder incident took place out of rage of criminals. 

“They not only killed Nakul Saha but also injured the deceased’s wife Nirupa Saha on her ear and then broke her hands. Nakul Saha’s mother, 85 years old was too beaten and left serious. Apart from that total 8 persons were injured when they tried to save Nakul Saha from being murdered”, said Chakraborty.

 The Police officer further said that there was no political connection found in this murder case so far. He also informed that the case is almost at end and proper actions will be taken against both of them.

“They have killed Nakul Saha just like drunk, mad persons. They had rod, weapons in hands and beaten him severely”, said Subrata Charaborty.

The sexual harassment case was of 14-1-2018 (before one month of Assembly election) and after one year, 8 months police started action which instigated the criminals to kill the victim’s husband.

However, police denied any political link in this incident.

After the murder former CM Manik Sarkar, local BJP MLA Ram Prasad Pal visited the house and met the victim families.

The CPI-M leader Nakul Saha was killed on the night of Manasa Puja, total 8 injured and 2 in critical condition admitted in GB including 85 years old mother of killed Nakul Saha.
